The second generation of the Spanish SEAT Toledo is based on the platform of the Mk 4 Volkswagen Golf. It arrived in 1999 and remained manufactured until 2004. The car offered as much as its German cousin (the Golf), but was available for a lower price, which was the main reason for its popularity. Today the vehicle remains one of the most frequently chosen cars of the used car market and deciding to purchase a used Seat Toledo is definitely a smart option. The quality of ride and build is the same as in the Golf, but the used Seat Toledo offers sharper handling and, in my opinion, more attractive looks. There is a wide range of engines available, all of them offer good performance and refinement, but if I had to choose, I would decide to get one of the diesel options. They are all 1.9 litres and come in the different states of tune. The original 108 BHP engine gives lively acceleration merged with fuel efficiency, but those with a need for a stronger experience can choose between two sports versions, which offer 138 BHP and 150 BHP, as they are much faster. The diesels in the used Seat models are a very good quality units with great reliability combined with a low appetite for the fuel which makes them a great choice. The used Seat Toledo is a great solution for those with a lower budget and expect the level of quality equal to the Golf IV; but cannot afford to buy a product with the VW logo.
